Rebels sign with their chosen colleges
Graduating Rebels Chris Jordan and Justin Smith made their
choices count on signing day in 2009.  Jordan as expected signed
with D1 Air Force Academy.  Chris is exactly the kind of multiple
use WR/DB Air Force loves to utilize in their complex offense.

Smith bucked the trend that his older brothers started with
Tennessee Tech and decided to forge his own path with VMI.
Smith might see immediate playing time with the private military
acadmey.  The Air Force Academy beat out Columbia University for
Jordan's sevices.  Smith had listed Elon on his final list of suitors.

Also signing was RB Thomas Shuler.  He signed with the
Tusculum Pioneers and will join past Rebels Tyler Clendenen,
Ryan Maples and Todd Hollingsworth there.

LB Jeffrey Booker also signed with Tusculum to rival Maryville
College for the most current Rebel signees.

OL/DL Tucker Munns and Marcus Englehardt both signed with
Bethel College.

The Red Rebels had another great spring with lots of production
on both sides of the ball.  According to reports, the staff was
pleased overall with what they saw and the effort put forth by the
2009 squad.

As expected last years sophomore class will have ample input on
the 2009 squad.  Also positions that seemed like weak points due
to graduation attrition, might not be as weak as previously thought.
